Everything began with the Schwarzwälder Dauerbackwaren GmbH. This company was founded in 1968, and within a short time had developed to become a reliable partner in German trade.
In 1998, we took over the company, and a fundamental revision of the product range was carried out. Yet this was not enough: In 2004, we altered the name of the company, and from then on became known as PICO Food GmbH.
2007 is an extremely special date in our company history, as in this year, PICO Food took over Alfred Vest & Co. This family company had previously ensured for over 50 years that the Original Sahne Muh-Muhs Toffees remained a really iconic sweet.
Today, we supply high-quality, international brands from the confectionery, snack and processed foodstuff sector. We are one of the market leaders in Germany in the field of soft caramels. We were even distinguished as "Top brand 2012" in this field by a foodstuffs magazine. Our products can be found in the product range of almost all renowned trade partners in Germany and are well-known in over 20 countries.
